A quick run

- Total Time: 00:15:00.00
- Distance: 1.5 miles
- Average Pace: 10:00/mile
I ran with my friend Megan tonight. She needs a running buddy, but like I said before, she’s not really training for anything in particular. She just runs to stay in shape.
Anyway, since I had been to the YMCA this morning, I suggested we run the “short loop” at her pace. She’s faster than me. Like two mins per mile faster. We didn’t keep too accurate time, but I did some sort of mathematical equation after I drove around and figured out the exact distance and the exact spot we really did stop to check the time. I’d say my 15 min is a pretty accurate guess.
It was hard. I was wheezing somewhat afterwards (still am)… that is a first. But I think it was because of the chill in the air. Tonight was the coldest temp, by far, that I have run in. I wore too many clothes. Three layers on my legs and four on my torso. I give you permission to laugh at me! ![]()

I am really enjoying reading about your progress! And I find it really hard to run in the cold. I find my lungs almost feel raw afterwards. And nice work pulling a “double”!
I agree with Kim. Running in the cold, especially when the air is dry, can be very hard.
Awesome job! You are hardcore running outdoors! Is it really windy down there too? Man, it’s awful here. You won’t catch me running outdoors unless its a race from early fall until early spring!
You are making alot of progress! You should be proud of yourself.
I saw you linked to the CB triathlon. I worked that thing like 4 years in a row in highschool and a bit after. The people seem to really enjoy it and I know the helpers really push the people along. It was such a fun event for me to participate (as a helper) in. I think you are going to have fun. Mr. Moyer will most likely be there! Heck, I may even be there. If so, I’ll bring sign to encourage you!
I’m so glad you have friends to work out with. I can tell how much of a difference it makes for you. Thanks for sharing
