I picked Tommy up from the airport this morning. He has been gone all week on work travel. I was wearing jeans and a little jacket and tennis shoes. He got in the car and said hello, then he put on his seat belt and settled in for the ride. And then he looked at me and said “You look good!”

I looked at him akwardly. I was wearing jeans. And tennis shoes. And I hadn’t washed my hair.

He said “You are so THIN!” I said “really??” He said “yeah, really thin.” I didn’t believe him. But then he kept telling me how good I looked, and how much he missed me, but then how good I looked.

And okay! It made my DAY!!
