I could use some egg-nog!

Yay for SNOW! How fun for all you Seattle folks. :) I’d like some snow around here… it would make up for all the boring, sad, empty trees.

Well, my swimming pal canceled twice so far this week… and my running buddy pulled a “no-show” yesterday. And did I trek on and exercise anyway? Ummm… No.

I am thinking of offering Krista some money to train me. Perhaps she’ll have more of an incentive that way? I really was looking forward to having a committed running buddy (obviously it gets me out there and working harder than if I’m on my own)… and now I think I want it so bad I’m willing to pay for one. Sad, but true. Besides, she’s more of a coach… she should be getting paid for her work!

I’m packing a gym bag and plan on trekking to the Y after work today.

OH, and by popular request… here is the recipe for the Thin Mint Martini (it was actually so good I copied down the ingredients from the menu - no joke!)

  • White Crème de Menthe
  • Vodka
  • White Crème de Cacao

I don’t know the amount of each… but I don’t think a little trial-and-error could hurt. ;)

  1. Have you thought about a running club? Try your local good running shoe store and ask them if there’s anything around. You might be able to find people your speed and usually there are regularly scheduled runs. Good luck!

  2. A no SHOW! Man oh man :) You are too funny - but you don’t have to pay your friends to help you train! Take her for coffee and stuff. I’m glad you have such a good buddy to run with. I can’t believe she did that Ultra Marathon. CRAZY cool!

Just make up for it at the Y this afternoon. Have fun and enjoy yourself :)

Looks like with the holiday season here you might need to just load your MP3 player and rock out while working out with all your very own coolness. You can do it!

  3. Yummy! Thanks for the recipe! Ohhh… Egg Nog! I have a half a glass a day!! I love to get it from Thanksgiving to Christmas!

And that stinks about the no show! hrumphf!
