Here comes yoga!

I just wrote a check for $60 to join the T/R yoga class offered here on campus this semester. You may remember me being excited to take a yoga course on campus (as a phys-ed class) and then being bummed because it was full. Well, the same instructor is teaching it as a fitness class for faculty/staff members (read: no tests or assessments involved). I just paid my way and it starts next Tuesday during my lunch hour!

I am exiteddddd!

This only make my desire for a gym membership to get smaller and smaller. The on-campus fitness center is available to me for free, there are trails and roads all around for me to run/bike on… I just don’t see a need for a membership to the local YMCA. But! All of my friends are there and keep asking me when I’ll be available to “work out” with them. (sigh) We’ll see!

Also, I was looking into auditing a nutrition course this fall (also, a class I was really looking forward to). However, it is also on T/R and I don’t know that I can give up 2.5 hrs of my work day for fitness/nutrition courses. The nutrition course may have to wait until next semester. We’ll see. (I am still waiting to hear back from the prof if there is room for me to audit the class.)

Edited to add: I have eaten 4 french crullers since my last post about them. I just have to be fair and honest here. Maybe I really do need the nutrition course ASAP….? :)
