Digg! this story.
Does anyone else feel totally bloated when they attempt to drink the “required” amount of water in a day? Shoot… I just try to drink all of my 24oz. bottle and I get all bloated… ???

I feel like I am constantly running to the bathroom. It helps if you spread it out to have 8 oz every couple of hours, but am not always good about this.
I find the more I drink, the more I’m aware of my thirst response & the more I want to drink. If I slack off on my water intake, I want less. Maybe I’m part camel. I’ve always found this a weird phenom. And, yes, I’m always running to the bathroom!
I don’t usually feel bloated from it - (except for about 1 week out of every month), but I literally make bathroom breaks on the hour - sometimes more. It’s kinda funny - my friend David (at the office) sits just outside the girl’s bathroom door - so he sees everyone. He makes fun of Mandi and I for how frequently we visit. When he has to run to the bathroom during happy or something - he says “Oh no, I’m turning into Melissa/Mandi!”
Not drinking my required “8 glasses” of water is my normal behaviour - I think I spend most of my first 37 years in borderline dehydration. I’m trying to improve, but it’s hard work.
I did recently read somewhere that you can count tea and coffee - although the caffeine’s a diuretic, it isn’t in sufficient quantities (generally) to have a significant effect compared with the volume of water that it’s dissolved in. I don’t think that “8 cups of coffee” is the way to go though!
I always have to go go go when I try to drink the water I need daily. I do feel bloated, especially if I drink it too much too quickly.
I try to just have a quart of water a day when at work and just drink water with meals. Sometimes I’d rather be dehydrated then go potty 60 times a day, people make fun of me for it!
